As director of the Active French School, I am delighted to offer this three-day trip to Montreal. I'll have the pleasure of being your guide and language advisor during your stay. Enjoy an exceptional opportunity to improve your French as you immerse yourself in francophone culture. On the agenda: discoveries and cultural outings galore, with progress in French guaranteed!

The aim of the trip is to give you a chance to speak and hear French in real-life situations as you enjoy getting acquainted with the vivacious city and its many attractions. Besides visiting museums, the magnificent Botanical Garden and Old Montreal, we'll explore the trendy districts of Le Plateau and Mile-End.  Some tours will be led by our local guide Normand Boucher, a native Montrealer who knows the city inside-out and wouldn't dream of living anywhere else. Normand will positively relish helping you discover his hometown through entertaining anecdotes - en français, bien sûr! You'll quickly learn that Montrealers are friendly, open and always ready to help. Plenty of opportunities to try out your French!

We'll also stop by the famous Jean-Talon Market to discover local culinary specialties, and all through the trip we'll enjoy lunch and dinner at the excellent restaurants I've selected just for you.

Lastly, depending on the cultural calendar, we'll also catch an evening or two of French entertainment. Films, festivals, plays, shows, live music or stand-up comedy: whatever your tastes, you're sure to have fun!

I've designed this exclusive three-day stay in Montreal to maximize your enjoyment.

Itinerary: Please download our brochure.

Transportation: We'll travel by van from Portsmouth, NH to Montreal (300 miles) in a group of 5 minimum. Naturally, conversing in French throughout the journey will be de rigueur! We'll have plenty of time to get to know each other en route.

Located in Montreal’s most colourful neighborhood the Château de l’Argoat hotel stands at the junction of the "Quarter latin", the "Plateau Mont-Royal", and the "Quartier des spectacles".
